The main goals and objectives of the competitions are:

• improving and evaluating the level of professional training of personnel servicing 110 kV and higher overhead lines of national energy systems of CIS member states,

• improving the culture of labor safety,

• improving personnel qualifications, quality of work and safety in servicing 110 kV and higher overhead lines, reducing injuries,

• exchanging best practices in equipment operation and performing repair work on high-voltage power transmission lines,

• strengthening traditional professional ties among energy workers of participating states in the competitions.
